#HappyHendersonDay Today we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of BCG's founder, Bruce Henderson.

Bruce was a pioneer in business strategy and a key figure in the development of management consulting. The world has changed a lot since Bruce's times, and so has BCG.

When he stepped down as our CEO in 1980, BCG had 7 offices around the world and employed 420 people. Fast forward to 2015, we have grown into a company with 11,000 staff in 82 offices across 46 countries. Bruce's legacy continues to define our firm and inspire all BCGers.

In honor of the firm's founder, BCG is launching the Bruce Henderson Institute, which will be dedicated to pioneering new ideas and approaches to solving business challenges. With a global focus, the institute will examine the implications of the major trends and discontinuities affecting businesses and societies.
